After a move, a fire, a flood, a natural disaster, what do you do with the furniture that was damaged? What process can you go through to have the pieces repaired or replaced as fairly and painlessly as possible?
When faced with many damaged pieces it can be overwhelming to try to list the pieces, list all the damage, take photos and get estimates for repair. If it comes to replacement, how can you determine the value of the pieces? Especially antiques?
Here is what we can do to help make this a simple process;
1. Schedule an appointment to review all the pieces of furniture in your home, storage facitlity or other location.
2. Provide values on each piece to expedite the claim.
3. Provide estimates for furniture refinishing, repair, on-site repair, reupholstery and fabrics.
4. Take photographs of all pieces and damage.
5. Produce a typed report for five or more pieces including photos, values and repair estimates.
6. Submit this report directly to your insurance or moving company for approval.
7. Provide pickup and delivery of all items.
